DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
The Department of International Relations was founded in 2000 and it started enrolling students for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in 2004. The department offers a wide range of courses in all related areas of the discipline, including political science, international politics, regional politics, diplomatic history, international political economy and foreign policy analysis.
Those who choose to pursue a degree in International Relations at Cukurova University considerably benefit from the department’s multidisciplinary approach. The curriculum is designed to help students in acquiring the relevant analytical skills to explain and discuss substantive issues in International Relations. Once graduated, students will be able to use Turkish, English and one other foreign language, academically and in the professional context.
With regards to international partnerships, the department has over twenty bilateral arrangements with European universities under the Erasmus Exchange and Internship Programme. All academic staff regularly take part in various international research networks and projects.
There are plenty of career opportunities available to those who hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in International Relations. These include government departments and agencies both at the national and local levels, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, academia, media, marketing and finance.
