Economic Association
An international scientific named EUROPEAN ECONOMIC
ASSOCIATION is herewith established. This association is governed by
the Belgian law of October 25, 1919, amended by the law of December 6,
1954. The Association has its legal seat in a commune of the Brussels
agglomeration. At present this is established at rue de la Concorde
51, B-1050 Brussels. It can be transferred to any other location in
Belgium, upon a decision by the Council of the Association published
within a month in the Annexes of the Moniteur Belge. The Association
is a non-profit organisation. Its aims are

to contribute to the development and application
of economics as a science in Europe,

to improve communication and contacts between
teachers, researchers and students in economics in the different
European countries,
-
to develop and encourage cooperation between
teaching institutions of university level and research
institutions in Europe.

Royal
Economic Society
Now in its second century, the Royal Economic Society
is one of the oldest economic associations in the world. Currently it
has over 3,300 individual members, of whom 60 per cent live outside
the United Kingdom. It is a professional association which promotes
the encouragement of the study of economic science in academic life,
government service, banking, industry and public affairs. Here, they
offer information about membership, their journals, the "Economic
Journal" and the "Econometric Journal," their annual
conference, grants and fellowships, UK-JOE (jobs for economists in the
U.K.) and information about the society.
Devlet İstatistik Enstitüsü Başkanlığı'nın
girişimleriyle 3.10.1990 tarihinde kurulan Türk İstatistik Derneği,
istatistik ve olasılık bilim dallarının gelişmesi, ilerlemesi, yurt
içinde yaygınlaşmasının sağlanması ülkemizin ekonomi, toplum ve
teknoloji gelişmesinde istatistiğin, istatistikçilerin ve istatistik
alaninda uluslararası beraberlik ve işbirliği yapılması amaçlarına
yönelik çalişmalarını sürdürmektedir.
İstatistik ve olasılık dalında yüksek
öğrenim görmüş veya fen, mühendislik, beşeri ve sosyal bilimler
dallarında en az lisans derecesine sahip olan ve istatistiği meslek
gereği kullanan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti vatandaşlari Türk İstatistik
Derneği üyeliğine kabul edilmektedir.
